For direct sharing, cooperation and mutual aid
Sharing Ireland is an informal project to connect anyone in Ireland who is interested in non-commercial culture. We want to encourage varied and meaningful forms of direct sharing, cooperation and mutual aid.
Sharing Ireland is a forum for people in Ireland who are interested in practical ways of helping and supporting each other outside a commercial context. This help can be in the form of resource-sharing, the providing of a service or some other way.
This is not about barter or alternative currencies. This, instead, is about sharing - something more like a "gift economy".
Currently, the main forum for communication is the Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/SharingIreland/ . This is an open group which anyone can join. (Naturally, however, we politely request that only those with a genuine interest do so.)
A website is also in progress: http://www.sharingireland.net/ .
Anyone is welcome to get involved.
