Independent protest in solidarity with republican POWs Cork City

The British state is using Internment in the occupied North. There is no other way of describing it. 'Devolved government' is a farce and a front for the British states' normalisation of the occupation. This issue should be taken seriously by all those who claim to represent anti imperialism, its time to get active, on the streets. Marian Price has recently been moved to a medical wing in Hydebank prison from Maghaberry due to the rigors of 9 months in solitary confinement, which can only be described as Psychological Torture. Along with Martin Corey and Gerry mcgeough, Gary mac adaim (brother of singer/song writer Pól Mac adaim) is the latest to be Interned.

Over in Lithuania Republican POW Michael Campbell is held in deplorable conditions in Lukiskes prison, an alleged rendition centre. Michael should be at home in Ireland near his family , he should be repatriated immediately.

In Maghaberry the dirty protest continues without any end in sight, having refused to implement an agreement the Northern Ireland Prison Service (NIPS) is party to, Republican POWs continue their struggle to see an end to forced strip searching and controlled movement which is brutally enforced by a riot squad.
The Prisoner Solidarity Group will continue to highlight these issues.
