Even the Rain (También la Lluvia) Playing for 1 week exclusively in The Light House Cinema from Friday June 8th

We had a full house in The Light House cinema last Sunday for the premiere of Even the Rain. If you missed it, there's no cause for worry as the film starring Gael Garcia Bernal, is out this Friday exclusively at Light House Cinema. The film will run for one week from Friday 8th June. We hope you can make it down. It is an excellent film and well worth seeing.

Set in Bolivia, Even the Rain follows film director Sebastián (Gael Garcia Bernal) and producer Costa (Luis Tosar) as they work on a film about Christopher Columbus and the Spanish conquistadores, overturning any myths of Columbus as a force of good in the process. When the Bolivian Water War breaks out, Sebastián and Costa are caught in a moral dilemma on what to do next....

Directed by Icíar Bollaín (Mataharis, Take My Eyes) and written by award-winning screenwriter Paul Laverty (Sweet Sixteen, The Wind that Shakes the Barley), the film is a heady mix of politics, religion, art and history.

The film is in Spanish with English subtitles
