I believe that Verschoyle signed that over to them - according to their own records which are seemingly not actually reliable! - and then they expelled him!

Well, he had better luck than his brother Brian who was abducted by the NKVD in Barcelona and died in a prison camp.

Or maybe I made that up as a charlatan.

Does anyone know if the properties at the corner of Pembroke Road and Upper Baggot Street were home to the communist party? They were recently renovated and there is no plaque to keep people aware. There is a plaque to Jim Larkin on one of the houses on Wellington Road. Would appreciate knowing where the communist office was based.

How have I insulted people on Facebook?

As for my book. it is based totally on primary sources including the CP's own archives. Perhaps they were planted by people attempting to sully their glorious history?

My book also includes references to Seán MacAteer, Pat Devine and Brian Goold Verschoyle.

Trotskyite fascists I believe was their sin.

Come along on Tuesday.

Regards.

I hope this leads to a serious discussion about the role of Marxism in Irish political movements. Unfortunately a lot of the discussion on other forums was dominated by the author throwing the terms 'Stalinist' and 'Gulags' around a lot. He also managed to insult a whole range of people via Facebook and has done himself no favours.
Will the famous Seanie Lemass of Politics.ie be invited? Or Phelan from politicalworld, or even Tumbles from Cedar lounge revolution? The launch could do with their input.
