Documenting the hundreds of thousands of Basque killed by the regime in the Basque Country.

Speaker from Ahaztuak (The Forgotten). Formed in 2005, speaking for victims of fascism in the Basque Country 1936/1977.
Their main work is to advance in the achievement of their plan/proposals for peace, reparations and justice for the victims of the coup d'etat, repression and the fascist regime.

They are collecting testimonies and documents,organizing commemorations, supporting the publication of books, holding conferences, etc.

Apart from the many who were killed during the fighting in defence of the Basque Country against Franco and Carlist forces, hundreds of thousands of Basques were murdered as prisoners of war, victims of repression and torture under fascist occupation, Basque resistance fighters captured, victims of assassination squads such as GAL and of the police. There were many other kinds of crimes which did not result in death: imprisonment, torture, rape, abduction of children, beatings ...
