This is an important discussion for the future:
* Summing up the experience of the elections.
* How do we strengthen the movement?
Ideas on the table are:
The creation of a weekly email newsletter, called THE PEOPLE'S PAPER, having a printed edition once a month for door-to-door distribution.
Build the network of connected people, interested in a democratic future for our country - through engagement with the many struggles that people are engage in.
In Cork we are collecting thousands of signatures for a Petition asking the local Councils to 'Vote NO to Water Tax', this may provide the basis for local organising in other areas?
We are emphasising the need for a consciousness to build the organisation of our movement - for people to work together in a collective way.
Unless the people are organised we will not be able to effect the democratic change which we are putting forward.
Let's have the discussion....
