 "The anti-war demonstration which takes place in Dublin today (March 20), marking the first anniversary of the illegal Anglo\US invasion of Iraq, provides the Irish people with a perfect opportunity to express their complete rejection of the 26 County Administration's support for the continued illegal Anglo\US occupation of Iraq, and in particular Brian Cowen's remarks on Thursday (March 18) pledging the continued use of Shannon by US warplanes. Such remarks only serve to highlight the arrogance of an administration which has chosen to ignore the vast majority of the Irish people, who have clearly expressed their opposition to the Anglo\US invasion and occupation of Iraq, made clear by the presence of 200.000 people on the streets of Dublin in February of last year." "Republican Sinn Féin will be participating in today's march under our own banner and we will be calling on our members and supporters to take part." |

I've noticed that 'map of Ireland' banner/placard dozens of times over the last ten years or so - I just think it's a very effective method of getting your message across .

When did Republicanism turn into Gangsterism ? Do we need more gangsters ? The Republican movement is completely discredited by actions like this and others probably guided through agents by Special Branch and MI5.
The Entire IRA should disband and cease their activities. In time of war such heavy handed oppression of the civil and human rights of the civilian population may have been justified but if it is just to obtain funds, respect or even votes there can be no justification. And so all those who died for Ireland down the centuries are debased by those who seek personal and political power.
Maybe the Greens should form a vigilante group to attack illegal dumpers and break their knees and elbows.........sure, if it would get them elected........... maybe Fianna Fail too should send a gang to break the fingers of anyone calling Bertie a bollox. Fine Gael could smash the faces of all lefties. Let's all take the example our Republican brothers ..........
