Using humour to get media coverage

A lot of people can be put off by the violence that can erupt at some of these demonstrations. In contrast the front of the Irish Times on Tuesday shows a woman on at the RTS event dancing with an ice cream in one hand and 2 gardai laughing - more of this type of thing I say!!

I think the humourous side of these events could be enhanced. Street theatre or performance etc is great and I know it has been done before

That front page picture is great publicity for RTS and if people realised that it was a great party more would come along - and that has to be one of the aims??

a new bloc ? the comedy block??

does anyone have any footage or pics of the person who had the snorkle and arm bands and was swimming in front of the water cannons??

Ive only heard about it but not seeing any pics
