Beverly Flynn for first, female Taoiseach

category national | politics / elections | opinion/analysis author Friday May 07, 2004 01:21author by john mc dermott - Remove Fianna Fail-Dublin Zoo have the best monkeysauthor address Dublin Report this post to the editors

We want her guts for garters.

As Bertie passes his 'sell by date'it's high time the mantle of high office was bestowed upon a lady 'Soldier' - and who better than Beverley Flynn who's credentials are as impeccable -and more so-than the rest of the jackels fronm her pack.!

More news from the Wild West.
The Fianna Fail Saga continues .
Dublin Castle is still encircled by hostile tribes(of lawyers)
The Phoenix Park, ranch where Sheriff Bertie , BigBurlosconi, and other ‘big guns’ parleyed and partied last weekend,to celebrate the New State of the Union was heavily fortified by various enforcement agencies,..while under siege by masked raiders.

Meanwhile Martin ‘Cu’ Cullen, holed up in town, fingered his weapon.. ,drawin’deep on his home cut tobacco ..,snarled in a raw throaty growl ‘Im not leavin’..and nobody’s gonna make me go’
.
Meanwhile the bounty hunters gather in Kildare Street, and lie in wait for their next chance.

Beverley Flynn ,who is currently rallying the cowboys of Mayo, is vigorously resisting moves to expel her from the ranks of the ‘Soldiers of Destiny’.
‘I ain’t leavin either ‘she said in a press conference on the porch of the Flynn Ranch ,’You ain’t pushin me out Bertie, just try it…make my day! I’ll blow you all the way back to Cork’

Many of the countryfolk around Mayo say the local banks were the real troublemakers. They put too much temptation in good folks way…offerin to hide folks money from the Revenue hunters.Besides,… taxes were too high..on ordinary folk the government was takin everything… ‘Beverley was only doing her job’. this argument claims that Beverley is blameless.!
Sure,.. the banks were culpable. Even now as they lick their light wounds from the non-resident account scandals etc, they are busy lending too much money to our young people and making their contribution to the endless housing price spiral,-all in the name of Profit.
Who’s complaining? Not this government,..not the Central Bank,…nobody.!
Other folks say Beverley’s argument is like that of a ‘ hired gun’ who gets caught and tries to blame the gang boss and pleads innocent because her bosses(the crooked bankers) told her to do it!. She was only doing her job sure –but she was breakin’ the law and ought to have known better..and she deserves to be strung up.

The fact that she and her family were elected to represent the decent citizens of this Island,in Europe and in the Dail,(- as well as the all- too- numerous ,off-shore bank account holders,in Mayo and elsewhere,) is another story.!
Now if the rebel Soldiers ditch Bertie ,and make Lady Beverley the new ‘Boss of Bosses’in Leinster House ,we will have some honest clarification of the present in-fighting among the Fianna Fail gangs in the badlands of Mayo and elswhere’
I therefore propose Beverley be elected the the first fearless, female Taoiseach .
She has my number one anytime.
Sure love to see ‘Wanted for Taoiseach’ posters of her, on all the lampposts up and down the State… in scanty ‘gang moll ‘gear…packing a pistol under her garter .
What a gal. Calamity Beverley strikes again!and again! She never comes out with her hands up,..- in true Flynn tradition - with guns blazin’.
Mighty Mayo. Such women are dangerous.

She was found guilty of encouraging tax evasion-She is a disgrace but I would have thought Fianna Fail would give her a medal for it!
