CUT'EM DOWN & RECYCLE Election Posters into Anti-War Placards

category national | environment | opinion/analysis author Saturday June 12, 2004 09:10author by Just a Thought! Report this post to the editors

Go Get'em! Election Posters into Anti-War Placards! Swords into Ploughshares!

Lots of (over due by date) election posters up at the moment. They could be coming down Pretty quick as there are fines for them staying up for any length of time. sO ACT NOW!

They are tied on with hard plastic so you are going to need something tougher than scissors to get them down.

Check out that they are blank on one side.

They willl make excellent bases for anti-war statements in the weeks ahead. They will save you lots of euros in the months ahead for campaigning.

Cut 'em down, stash'em in the shed, share them with friends......

you can actually just pull them down easily enough, if you can get high enough, slide them down the pole to a reasonable height and pull down/out on the top, the hard plastic things they are held on with go right through the crappy plastic they are made of..

Remember that the posters belong to the candidate, or in some instances the party concerned. You can be done for theft if you are caught recycling them.

I can't help but giggle at one posters suggestion to 'put the posters back up in two weeks time to get a fine for some 8888 from the pds.

Forgot, the ELECTION IS OVER.

My sincere apologies in berating your noble efforts. Had thought you were advocating tearing down before election. I am right now thumping my cranium with utmost severity in the hopes that such remedial action will awaken the slumbering mind within.

Sorry.

A stanley knife works shit handy in terms of getting them down. I recommend using them for roof repairs..
