Talk by Naomi Wayne in Limerick

Halla íde, Thomas Street, Limerick
8.30pm, Monday 2nd August 2004

All welcome...

Naomi Wayne will talk about her recent journey to Israel / Palestine, where she visited the Wall, a refugee camp, the Palestinian TUC and medical facilities in Israel and the West Bank. During her visit Naomi talked to Israelis and Palestinians of all political persuasions.

Naomi spent ten years in Ireland, working for the Irish Transport and General Workers Union (now SIPTU) and the Equal Opportunities Commission for Northern Ireland. She has written two books - 'Labour Law in Ireland' and 'Northern Ireland: the Political Economy of Conflict'. While living in Dublin she was one of a group of women trade union activists who set up Trade Union Women's Forum. She was also involved in the foundation of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties.

Jews for Justice for Palestinians (JfJfP) is an 850 strong network of Jews in Britain who campaign against Israel's illegal occupation and intervention within Gaza, the West Bank and Golan; produce information about Israeli / Palestinian relations; and provide charitable support for cross community initiatives.
