WE BEG TO DIFFER - the socialists are weak everywhere because they do not understand human nature or the dynamics of power. They have failed so many times that now they are a traditon not a movement.
The way forward is to combine the respect of life and tradition through the Church with a government that educates and supports the people so that the incidence of abortion, materialsim (selfishness) leading to poor morals (birth control, hedonism, secular exclusivity) and anomie are greatly reduced.
This is not a call for the CHurch as government (unless that is what people choose) - rather it is a call to build a society that is tolerant but which evloves slowly so that good traditions (stability, repsect, spirituality) are not com, pletely destroyed by American or modern cultural impeialism.
The socialists like all modernists expect rapid change, technological salvation and instant "New Men." This despite there being no reason to believe in any of that.

The tamest, crappest critique of an absolute monarch and religious leader from a supposed revolutionary socialism. It looks like the RUC's reaching out to religion is deeper than we thought. Will the SWP be attending his funeral mass?
Will RESPECT be standing a candidate for the Papal election or will they just give critical support to one of the more progressive cardinals?
