'has evaporated before it could do any harm to local areas'

Just curious how does one investigate this? Would someone in the gov tell ya the info if asked? There must be a way of learning this without having anonymous gov workers answering questions on Indymedia.

They dump the fuel above 13,000 feet so it has evaporated before it could do any harm to local areas and there was no cargo on board !!

'The plane had to dump thousands of litres of aviation fuel before being allowed to land. '

I know of the procedure - what interested me was not that they did it but I was wondering *where* they dumped it?

I'm sure that people in the communities around the airport would like to know.

Maybe just a few fish died in the incident, but it would be nice to know these things.

And if it did crash, what was the cargo?

author by corporate toolpublication date Sun Jun 12, 2005 21:26author address author phone Report this post to the editors

Are we complaining about emergency landings now?

Would the IAWM prefer the aircraft and its occupants to crash into the sea?

Give up people. The public don't care. Thats why they all stay at home for the marches.

Nice work guys!
Quick update on the High Court action taken against the Irish Government in 2002 for allowing US flights through here for the war in Afghanistan -- We were expecting a judgement this week, but will probably hear it next week or the week after. Ms Judge Macken is moving up to the Sup. Court, so she wants to get all this sort of thing off desk before the summer hols.

Home now.
The Herc was parked up to await repairs.
Irish Army guarded it. 25 dudes got off,
probably members of Idaho Air National Guard.

Someone told me it was mentioned on RTE radio and TV3 news had pictures.

There was no sign of repairs. I imagine they are expecting a replacement engine to be flown over from a USAF base in the UK.

The following countries have pulled their contingents: Dominican Republic, Honduras, Hungary, Moldova, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, and Tonga.
