Get this. Andrew Gilligan from the evening standard, who exposed the dodgy dossier was caught infiltrating the anarchist assembly. Amazingly few people recognised him. Once outedrecording the meeting - his bag was confiscated and his notes taken after a melee stopping him leaving the building.

What's the difference between anarchist secrecy and government secrecy? Confiscating tapes and notes???? Why? I thought the whole idea was transparency and open communication? Only people who agree with you can come to your meetings? I dont get it at all.....

QUOTE: "Only people who agree with you can come to your meetings?"

So anarchists de facto have no right to privacy according to you? They _must_ let in anyone to their private meetings otherwise they're the same as a government that runs the apparatus of the state?

I'd wager that it was a _closed_ meeting to discuss _private_ matters that concerned the anarchists and that they were keen to keep out people that might leak plans and details to the police or journalists that are hostile to anarchists.

Seems fair to me.

... this never happened. As for the "otherwise..." part of the announcement - "otherwise", what? Yet another menacing, violence-laden threat from the spoiled, middle class weekend radical youth of Ireland, spending their PAYE bonuses from their US multinational company employers on a weekend in Scotland.
