A highly controversal rugby match which saw Australia win by 163-106 Chris Johnson of Australia grabs Matty Forde of Ireland during yesterday's second and final test of the International Rules Series at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne. Johnson was sent off during the game in which the Australians came in for strong criticism for some high tackling. The Australians won the game and took the series 163-106. Yesterdays rugby match has come in for some strong criticism from International rugby games rules observers after some outrageous tackles on the Irish rugby players. In one of the most vicious fowls in rugby ever, Chris Johnson grabbed Irelands Matty Forde around the neck knocking him hard to the ground. A few minutes later, further confrontations between Australian and Irish players saw just how barbaric the Australian players were in stirring up trouble. There was widespread condemnation of the Australian players violent code of conduct from the Irish rugby team captain who was interviewed after the match. |
