just wondering do you send out the show on any other terrestrial sites, through the amarc or simbani networks?
or do you know where in the world, your files have been downloaded to?
dunk
there's a www.radio.indymedia.org link somewhere that tells you the amount of downloads a file gets, butI keep losing it. It doesn't say from where in the world it gets downloaded from.
I'm gonna podcast the old ones from irishblogs using archive.org as a host (when I get an free ftp client with a useable visual interface). This will be a bit more messy - requiring extra software to put it on search engines and stuff, but will promote the current stuff on www.indymedia.ie (hosted on www.radio.indymedia.org).
The audio button above the newsire on www.indymedia.ie only automatically counts articles which upload their audio onto this site. Since this site doesn't have the room for audio hosting, all audio articles published here (and here only apart from indy host site etc.), should be automatically on the audio button; including audio comments and all past articles with audio in them.
I understand that an editor intends to do this when he has the time.
As things stand, I don't know how people can receive podcasts from indymedia by chosen authors. Do they have to use itunes? What do they do? I'm at sea in such technical matters. I gave the file link to opencast mailing list.
However, I suspect no-one is getting it on podcast.
I got an encouraging email from a guy from west Limerick who found it on the newswire yesterday, but beyond that...
Can't make it Wednesday night I don't think. If there's somethin' concrete, we should be able to co-ordinate stuff by email - not being unsociable, but I have to prioritise re time at moment.
There's a guy in Waterford City who's been podcasting author-specific stuff from www.indymedia.ie since Ovtober, even before there were itunes or rss feeds in situ - but he really knows what he's doin'.

I wonder does that mean all people have to do is change the author name at the end of the address to get what they want.
I'll use different names for different types of programmes, for instance. Filtered(interviews), unfiltered (recordings), Gaeilge interviews and Gaeilge recordings.
If I konw podcasting for dummies, I'll spread the word :-).
This is a deadly show and Near fm is a great station, very popular around coolock, donaghmede, baldoyle.
