SUBVERSION OF THE WORKING CLASS

category antrim | anti-capitalism | opinion/analysis author Friday May 26, 2006 14:48author by we are led by nasty rich snobs who waste our lives Report this post to the editors

The punk band Zounds sang 'subvert, subvert' about anarchists/working class people infiltrating the middle class domain of work, to change and subvert it.

MI5/6/Special branch have been doing the same in reverse for decades, placing operatives within working class communities and trade unions in order to destroy and subvert whole communities and organisations.

Many of these operatives like Denis Donaldson etc, have blended into and become established within working class commuities for many decades.

How do you subvert the working class community?

Through newspapers like the SUN, which adopts the mannerisms and language of the working class, and substitutes our high moral values of fairness, tolerance, kindness and helpfulness, and substitutes these with their capitalist ones of extreme competitiveness, intolerance, selfishness, bigotry, nastiness and cruelty. eg their coverage of the Liverpool fc disaster.

Through newspapers such as the SUN, we are bombarded with unrealistic images of beauty, wealth, celebrity and personality, and encouraged to relate and judge each other on superficial levels of beauty, social status, wealth and competitive extraordinary personality. So If we haven't got wealth, beauty, social status or a competitive extraordianry personality, we must then be abnormal, ugly ordinary, stupid chav nonentities and deserve to be abused mistreated etc. Or we must win the lotto and have plastic surgery.

Through the mainstream media, we are fed the values of the dominant rich and middle classes, through newsreaders with standard upper class accents, to promotion of the proms, fashion, style and home programmes teach us that the lifestyles and life choices of the beautiful perfect rich and middle classes are infinitely superior, and worthy of adoption.

Working class sub cultures like punk etc are encouraged to be seen as an empty novelty, an excting past novelty, that can be revisted anytime for a brief period, via a package holiday camp scenario, a welcome brief release from the capitalist grindstone.

Similarly as the rich subvert the working class, it is not unusual to find these days, compliant snobby mcdonald/KFC/tescos employees from middle class/rich backgrounds, who are far from working class, as in the ever competitive job market and economy, only those from well off backgrounds with added supplementation from a rich daddy/mammy and student grants, can afford to live on the minimum wages paid by Mc Donalds etc.

Increasingly within working class communities we are encouraged to compete with each other and other poor people for to acquire unrealistic standards of living only experienced by the very rich, we are encouraged to acquire status symbols, designer branded clothes, products worn and used by the rich, our tastes are dictated by what we see on programmes such as 'Cribs' etc because the tastes of the rich are promoted by the capitalist media as superior and desirable, if we do not have these products, we are seen as poor and poverty is a dirty word, especially amongst the increasing competitive poor.

As the child molester/sex offender blames their victim for provoking an attack so the rich encourage us to hate ourselves and blame ourselves for the poverty and hardship of our lives.

Increasingly we see working class communities adopting the snobbiness, selfishness, greed, and competitiveness of the rich and middle classes, the adoption of these values of is in itself, subverting working class solidarity.

Working class people have no real reason to fight amongst themselves and hate each other, but the rich have given us, superficial reasons to hate each other, because of the colour of our skin, the way we look, and they have through their media exaggerated these differences in order to distract us from turning against our real enemy, the rich, who seek to cut benefits, and services to maximise profit for the already wealthy.

Crime within working class communities is both encouraged and highlighted by the mainstream media and authorities who seek to portray life within poor and working class communities as highly undesirable, in order to stimulate economic competition and struggle between people within working classes, to escape/desert 'working class ghettos and public housing' in favour of private housing .

That is why the PSNI through its £10 a tout scheme seeks to encourage joyriding and anti-social behaviour both within and against working class communities.

Given the choice many Holyland residents would prefer crowds of working class gluesniffers hanging about, rather than nasty middle class student drunks.

This is completely barmy stuff above. I suppose your idealised working class are all applying for the middle class jobs as its only on that wage that real workers can feed themselves chips and a six pack of lagar a night? Then those surviving on welfare would be middle class adventurists revelling in scheming their way through the poverty industry, buzzing whacked on the adrenalin of facing down doley workers demands to know if their partners are co-habiting with them?

Someone might want to stop listening to dodgy '82 style anarcho punks and update their musical preferences along with their class analysis...
