A Parrisian in America Mon Apr 07, 2025 07:00 | James Alexander
James Alexander mocks Matthew Parris's recent preachy take on America as lazy London liberalism, offering instead a boots-on-the-ground defence of Trumpism as a necessary, if flawed, political correction.

A chara,
I would be grateful in any assistance with identifying the official owners of Circus Vegas as the trading name is not
any help in dealing with official problems linked to the circus. If anyone has any details of the trading company from their experience please dont hessitate to contact me
at 051831378 / 0871323186 . Please leave your details if you fail to reach me and I will be happy to return calls.

Circus Vegas cause nothing but trouble where ever they go. It took some nerve for a 76 year old woman to do an action like this. She deserves an award for her bravery. Well done.
Terrible.
Violence is never acceptable.
I do think that she provoked them by interfering with their posters.
She should not have posted over their posters.
I hope she has made a formal charge.
the attack reported on above reflects the disgusting cowardly nature of animal abusers - and it proves, again, the link between those who mete out violence to animals and those who do the same to people.
I sincerely hope that the perpetrators of this attack do not get away with it.
Fair play to AFAR and all people fighting for an end to animal abuse.
Doesn't matter how many activists there are, the circus and their heavies will still attack. Even non-nationals can't approach the circus box office without their car being kicked and threaten with stanley blades. Just goes to show how barbaric circuses really are. If they are prepared to beat up an elderly woman, imagine what they do to the animals.
The workers attack and then are driven off in jeeps with blackened out windows. They return when the cops are gone.
We've witness one circus owner attacking an elephant with a garden rake. The same owner threatened the cops with their lives and wasn't even arrested.
The same is happening in Holland where animal rights activists (plural) on a grand scale (this is effective) hold banners and hand out fliers and even get into mainstream news. ( you see it is effective in numbers). You let one old woman hold up the banner for your whole country? HEY GO AND HELP HER NOW!
