Mark Zuckerberg's repudiation of Covid-era censorship is welcome. But it's not enough, say Josh Stylman and Jeffrey Tucker. Without a public reckoning they will just do it all again when a cause seems urgent enough.

Reebok issues Irish themed runners to celebrate St.Patrick's Day

What they think of us

It's hard to know where to start with this.

Is it that they have reduced the whole notion of Irishness to a running shoe with a leprachaun on it?

Is it the weird notion of having the colours of the Republican tricolour on an ugly pair of runners?

Is it the "kiss me I'm Irish?".

Is it the design of the lining showing an overflowing beer mug?

Is it the sheer awful, "Americaness" of it all?

Or is it the British Flag?

Some people might want to write to Reebok to comment on aspects of the shoe. Here is the company's address:

Could not find anywhere else to put this image....

A man threw a bag over the railings of the white house.
The Secret Services blasted it with water canon.
It was found to contain a diary and a tape recorder.
The Press officer is Tony Snow- he was prevented from doing press for
three hours cos of the security alert.

Oh yes- Bertie is over there giving the Shamrock and licking the arse of the
Prez.

And how we use fear to create psychosis:

The image below is from Reuters- they are programming Israeli kids with chemical
gas alerts in the High schools, in the elementary schools they encourage
kids to sign messages on bombs that will kill.

5,000 Ethiopians today travelled to Israel to be re-settled. They are bringing their
kids into a a UK/S war-zone - Irish Times :- http://www.ireland.com has the pics.

The protests in Madrid and Budapest were dominated by National Flags,
a desperate clinging to the ideology of the nation state, it happens when
globalised domination pervades. People revert to facism and perceived strong leader
ship.

The trainer image its quite simple- we don't need bar codes, we have managed to cheapen
and dilute precious things by buying into market dominance.

but that last illustration is from a chemical weapons rehearsal. I presume this because the hebrew letters clearly visible spell that out. Was that rehearsal psychotic?

A conversation on another thread illustrates how governments create personal
psychoses- of the type that create kids so alienated that they make masaccres.

If you are living 24/7 and attending school in a place where chemical weapon
alerts, kow-towing to a flag and a political ideology that emphasises
continously the inherent danger within the State- it would rattle you.

It's called the 'fear message'- it is used to promote hatred and war.
I shall add the photo link of the 12-13 year old school girls given
permanent markers to write hate messages on bombs destined for Palestine.

The "leaders' of these nations use fear as a propaganda tool-
be it the murder of De Menzes, the 9/11 and aftermath abuse of freedoms
or the hate incitement in some Irish newspapers and Media against our
Muslim and indigent communities.

If kids are brought up in hatred and fear it creates a feeling of hatred and fear.
A psychoses- natural and ordinary feelings are pushed down - they are cannon
fodder- The image-to me is abuse.

The idea or notion of a nation state founded in war is dealt with in many tracts
and publications, the hypocrisy of the leaders and their usage of propaganda
to incite fear is simply against the human rights of the child.

Now who gave the Iraqi insurgents Chlorine Bombs?
In whose interest are the states of ordinary people divided, who benefits from
the re-building of war states?

Oh and it happens here too- In Northern ireland, the continous pursuit
of a bigoted hatred grounded in religious ideology that admits of nothing
else but it's own bona fides- when in fact when people just want to get
on with their lives and neighbours and can't be arsed with the disfunctional
and idiotic symbols that the so-called leaders think befit advance their econmic
interests.

(clue- they are largely religious and dominate mainstream media,
most of the leaders are men and they use crappy boring hate language
which doesn't fool anyone
