As the battle between the HSE and the nursing unions escalates, we can all do our bit to help them! Our nurses are out there fighting for a proper working week and pay parity, often in the wind and rain during work stoppages. Many people seem to blame the nurses for the problems at the moment, but we have to realise that it's the HSE that's the problem: they won't sort out the A&E overcrowding, MRSA infections and they expect nurses to work on substandard terms. |

A family member in long time stroke rehab says that now the nurses have more time
because they have cut the bureaucracy.
They are strong and deserve support, becausse they alone are standing between
a good strong health system and the thatcherism of the PD's and FG.
Support the Nurses!
Solidarity!
Taking industrial action these days is a huge step for any group of worker. A very simple rule of thumb is that when it does happen the workers are in a possition that they have no alternative. In circumstances such as these any decent Trade Unionist will only have one word in mind "Solidarity". I would call on all who can to show thier bothers and sisters solidarity and offer all the support they are able to give. United we stand divided we fall.
