LIMERICK:

These days its very hard for young bands to get a break. Finding somewhere to practice is tough enough, never mind finding a venue willing to give you a chance to play and build a name for yourselves. However on Saturday the 21st there will be a perfect opportunity for young bands.

On that day upstairs in Riddlers bar there will be a youth gig from 6pm till late. The gig will have rock, punk, metal, R&B and other styles. The gig is organised by local young bands to coincide with a forum for young people that day organised by Socialist Youth. They want to have a great gig with well known names, but they are also interested in giving new bands a platform to play a few songs and see how they go down. If you are interested in playing, contact the organisers on 086-8064801.

So far the head line bands confirmed are Les Enfants Terribles, Vox Populi, Mark O’Connor, Nailers, Niall Quinn and others.
