Is that millionaire TD Ciaran Cuffe, who used to have shares in an oil company? He got rid of them when it was raised in the press, but not before, claiming that he had inherited so much money he couldn't keep track of where it was invested!

My understanding is that Cuffe inherited the money/shares from his recently deceased mother. Her portfolio of shares contained shares from unethical companies. He didn't exchange those shares for ethical shares immediately after his mother's death. For this he gets attacked.
