A candle-lit vigil was held by Shell to Sea activists outside Belfast City Hall yesterday (Friday) to remember those who have suffered internationally because of the money-grabbing policies of Shell Oil.

The vigil coincided with Shell's announcement of the corporation's annual profits, an obscene $26.7 billion (£13.9 billion or €18.6 billion). Copies of the most recent Shell to Sea newsletter were handed out to passers by and the question was asked, why can't Shell afford to move offshore?
