Why are climate alarmists so impervious to facts, so averse to rational cost-benefit analysis? It has all the hallmarks of a religious cult, says James Allan. They can't let it go because it gives meaning to their lives.

English classes will be two levels. Elementary/Pre-Intermediate from 6:30-8pm and Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate from 8:15 to 9:45. Can fit about 14 in each class so good if people can get in contact to check that there's space. Classes are on Tuesdays from 14th April and will run for 8 weeks. There'll be another set of 8 after that. Classes are free. A small donation for photocopying would be nice if possible. People interested can contact me at keykiet@yahoo.com.

Sorry but the English class is now full. There are a few suggestions below.

The Open Learning Centre at the ilac Centre Library on Henry St does free conversation exchange and has language learning materials. See Openlearning@dublincity.ie.

The People's College on Parnell St runs cheap Elementary and Intermediate English classes. 10 weeks for 30 euro with concessions for the unwaged. Phone 01 8735879 or see www.peoplescollege.ie.

The best way to practice is to spend time with Irish people and go to talks and lectures in colleges and public libraries. Check eventguidedublin.ie

Best of luck!
