Break For the Border, Stephen Street (beside the back of the Stephens Green Shopping Centre).Wednesday 3rd June 2009 at 7:30PM. Entry 10. Teams of 5, i.e. 50 per team. Last year, a group of us visited the West Bank. On our return we decided to do something positive for the region. We organised two events last year to fund raise for the Al-Basma special needs school in Bethlehem and third level students' tuition fees in the West Bank. Special needs is an often neglected area in what is already a very troubled region. Third level students have great difficulty in accessing education due to the general restrictions on people in this area. |
