Cllr Christy Burke Resigns from Sinn Fein

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Tuesday June 09, 2009 14:08author by Verso - N/A Report this post to the editors

Chrsity Burke resigns from SF

Cllr Christy Burke, a long time Sinn Fein representative in Dublins North Inner City, has today resigned from the party.

Burke was a long time and well respected Republican and community activist.

His resignation was no doubt prompted by the complete change in character of SF, and by earlier attempts by the Dublin leadership of the organisation to shaft him.

His resignation speaks volumes about the decline of SF as any sort of alternative to the mainstream parties.
