Simplistic linear thinking by Rachel from Accounts and the Treasury spawned this Budget from hell, says David Craig. A systems thinker would have known it would send the economy into a doom loop of recession and decline.

"Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely"

category international | eu | opinion/analysis author Tuesday July 28, 2009 19:29author by Ronoc Report this post to the editors

The 2nd referendum on the lisbon treaty will be held shortly because we voted wrong the first time and the political elite of Europe are not happy with us Irish.

“They are bloody fools,” “They have been stuffing their faces at Europe’s expense for years and now they dump us in the s***.” Nicolas Sarkozy told aides, according to le Canard Enchaîné weekly after the No vote - http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/arti...6.ece .
And this comes from the man who spends £600 pounds a day of tax payers money for flowers for his Palace - http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/arti...7.ece

So why would Ireland want to give more power to Europe by voting YES when there is people like this in Power?? Ireland is corrupt enough as it is!

We have been given alot of money from the EU but official EU statistics indicate that, year on year off, Ireland has consistently been one of the biggest net financial contributors to Europe as a result of fish supply.

By voting YES Ireland will loose power and larger countrys will gain power.

Where is the democrasy? France and Holland voted NO so they change the name from EU Contitution into the Lisbon Treaty and now nobody in Europe besides the Irish get to vote and we did but we voted wrong so we must vote again untill we vote the way they want.

Who can understand this treaty? Sure Cowen even admitted he couldnt understand it but he still wants us to vote YES. Thats like someone offering you a swig out of a bottle and you ask "whats in it" and they say "I dont know?, I havent tried it but its good for you! go on take a swig!", for all you know it could be poisen.
Why do people care if we get to keep or loose our commisioner? "It should be noted however that although Commissioners are allocated between member-states they do not represent their states; instead they are to act in European interests. Normally a member-state will nominate someone of the same political party as that which forms the government of the day." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Commissioner

And what about these legal garauntees we now have?? For them to be legally binding would they note have to be writen into the treaty and then the treaty would have to be re-ratified by all member states again? - http://www.irishexaminer.com/opinion/snojkfeymh/

Oh and the YES camp is cranking up the propaganda machine once again telling us its bad for us to vote NO, its not good for the Economy. The economy is in the shite either way as is most economys, Ireland just a little worse off. Giving more power to a corrupt Europe is going to help us...

There is many more points here but I'll have to post them later... Please add links and more information to inform the people as good as possible...
