According to Labour, "all families deserve the security of a home they can afford to heat". If the party really believed that, says Ben Pile, it would drop its commitment to over-priced green energy and ramp up the gas.

Republican Network for Unity Day Of Action!

Justice for Green Isle Workers picket
Green Isle Foods, Monread Rd, Naas Co. Kildare
Saturday December 5th
1pm - 2.30pm

The Republican Network for Unity cumann in Co. Kildare are holding this day of action in Kildare, to highlight some of the injustice in our society today. Throughout the last three months R.N.U have stood with the workers in Green Isle Foods at pickets outside the factory gate to highlight their dispute. Its been twelve weeks now since ordinary working class people have lost their jobs due to a mistake by Green Isle Foods I.T system and end to the dispute seems distant.
It is now only weeks to Christmas and families lay in limbo over mistakes by the company themselves. We urge the public in Co. Kildare and surrounding counties to get involved in this dispute and to see justice been served to the working class people of Ireland. We invite anyone to join us on a weekly basis in support.

Pre-Budget Protest, Fianna Fáil Office Main Street Naas.[opposite Super Valu]
Saturday December 5th
2.30pm - 4pm

Republican Network for Unity in Kildare have organised a pre-budget protest in Opposition to proposed cuts in the December 2009 budget. Within this budget the proposal of cuts to be introduced to the people of Ireland include, public sector pension cuts, social welfare cuts, further rent-supplement cuts, taxation of property only to name a few.
We in Republican Network for Unity see these implementations as an attack on the most vulnerable in our society, particularly cuts on pensions and social welfare. Ordinary un-employed people are struggling to make ends meet and we feel the rich in our society must be made pay higher taxes, target the rich not the poor.
We ask anyone interested to join us in this day of action as it would be greatly appreciated.
