Kicking off on Friday night with a launch party for new magazine ‘Irish Anarchist Review’ in Seomra Spraoi, Dublin’s autonomous social centre (http://www.seomraspraoi.org:8080/Plone) and finishing on Sunday with a Radical Walking Tour of Dublin, this weekend’s Dublin Anarchist Bookfair will have something for every radical with discussions and debates on a huge variety of topics likely to appeal to every radical – from those with a worked out view of how society can be improved to those who have a niggling feeling that capitalism just isn’t working and that there must be a better way of ordering society.
All day Saturday, Liberty Hall will be buzzing with conversation and debate both at the meetings (see www.wsm.ie/bookfair for a full timetable) and at the book and information stands which will contain plenty of information about community, trade union and political campaigns in Ireland and abroad and a huge array of books and pamphlets on a variety of radical topics.
“Since the first Dublin Anarchist Bookfair 5 years ago, this event has grown to be one of the biggest left wing political events in Dublin every year,” said Ciaran Murphy, a member of Workers Solidarity Movement and one of the Bookfair organisers. “This year’s event promises to be an exciting and interesting occasion, bringing together a wide variety of anarchists, activists and just ordinary people who are looking for new ideas.”
“With the capitalist crisis deepening anarchism and anarchist ideas are becoming relevant to the lives of more and more people. Anybody who believes that there has to be a better way of organising society should try to get along to Liberty Hall on Saturday and sample some of the political ideas on view,” Mr. Murphy concluded.
Doors open at 10.30 on Saturday the 29th of May in Liberty Hall, Dublin
