Cowen & IBEC's walk of Shame

category dublin | anti-capitalism | news report author Friday June 25, 2010 10:04author by JB - WSMauthor email wsm_ireland at yahoo dot com Report this post to the editors

Hundreds of people took part in a protest June 23 2010 at the Mansion house in Dublin where the Taoiseach Brian Cowen was going to 1,300 euro dinner with the organisation of local capitalist class that hands him his orders. As various bosses and Cowen went into the venue protected by ranks of Gardai, with the riot squad on standby outside the back entrance of Anglo Irish Bank and mounted police across the road, they were jeered by the crowd with shouts of 'thieves', 'robbers' and 'scum.'

The video is 10 minutes worth of us letting them know what we thought of them.

It was a really good stunt and turnout with plenty of indignation and outrage from the various groups. More importantly for IBEC there was a cop for nearly every member in the audience.

Classic disrepect, every rising of the people starts with this.
