Interview of Director of 'FAS SERVICES' Paul o Toole

category national | worker & community struggles and protests | opinion/analysis author Monday September 06, 2010 14:10author by pat Report this post to the editors

On the 6th of September Monday,Brian Dobson today interviewed the Director of FAS 'services',Paul o Toole,he was given very few questions, and praised for his efforts in FAS,and so soon..

Fas are allocated a budget increases in the Dail every year, despite all the scandals(which are not one sided soundbites)..

FAS complaints have increased and the government and Rte's cronies are doing nothing to stop this or question it in a fair and equal manner.
FAS 'SERVICES' FOR THE PEOPLE..
FAS 'SERVICES' FOR THE PEOPLE..

Paul o Toole stated that the media only put out,and we only hear the '' negative soundbites'',of FAS,which is a complete farce, where are the voices of the FAS ce workers or course attendants in this..as most of what comes out of the mouth of FAS administration and management is going to be of positive spin..
I personally have met ce workers and fas course workers, who have recieved next to no training, and have not been allowed to avial of the courses that would enable them to UPSKILL,as FAS claim.
The money FAS do recieve does not treacle down(most FAS courses are out dated) into improving FAS ' services ' , in order for FAS workers to UPSKILL..

Brian Dobson only managed to ask one question about the problems with FAS,which was about a bunch of Ce workers waiting for their certificates(he didn't even say what level certificate it was either!),i was shocked at how easy Brian dobson went on the Director of FAS 'services',given the inequality these FAS services are known to breed.
