The Great Shell Game

category national | politics / elections | opinion/analysis author Monday September 27, 2010 16:57author by Declan Cullen - None Report this post to the editors

With all the talk of who should govern the country, and how much Brian Cowen drank.
There is still the fact that the Irish people are being led around like hapless sheep.
It would not matter a damn who got into power, because the banks, EU and the IMF
(in the near future) would be the ones calling all the shots.

The Great Shell Game

With all the talk of who should govern the country, and how much Brian Cowen drank.
There is still the fact that the Irish people are being led around like hapless sheep.
It would not matter a damn who got into power, because the banks, EU and the IMF
(in the near future) would be the ones calling all the shots.

Example 1: We were told on the 26th of September 2010 by Minister John Curran that the Medical Services in the Galway region would have to fund themselves out of the their current budgets, yet the bank bail out does not have any set budget it has to adhere to. Instead it is a contant open sore that can't be healed.

Example 2: Minister John Gormley told people in 2006 that Fluoride in the water supply can cause cancer. Yet we now find ourselves in the situation that we might have to pay (through his proposals) for the very water Minister Gormley condemed on camera.

Example 3: We now find ourselves in the situation that consultants who were paid to advise the government on how to avoid economic disaster are the very same ones who are helping others behind the scenes to buy our debt in the form of bonds, with a crippling interest rate attached that adds insult to injury.

How did we become this nation of sheep so quickly? Our revolutionary ancestors would be spinning in their graves if they could see how we let ourselves become so wrapped up with games shows, talent contests and disgusting celebs, that we let our country be stolen right from under us.

When we start to see the ones behind the throne that control events in this country, we will then start to have a chance at getting to the root of our problems. And hopefully fix our country.

The crisis in Ireland did not happen by accident, we were warned by smart people who were dismissed as madmen and fools, who should go somewhere and kill themselves.
Unfortunately the sad fact is Ireland's financial dimise was a calculated event brought about to erode its sovereignty, and force it into a global cesspool of debt and dependency that will hang around the necks of the citizens of Ireland for decades.

Having an awakening is one thing, having the courage to combat what has and is being done to Ireland is another. Once your eyes have been opened to the downright evil and malice behind Ireland's woes, you can never be deceived again.
