According to Labour, "all families deserve the security of a home they can afford to heat". If the party really believed that, says Ben Pile, it would drop its commitment to over-priced green energy and ramp up the gas.

As the only independent Western journalist living and working in the Gaza Strip, after 12 months of production Maurice Jacobsen and the Inshallah Media Project has begun a world-wide preview tour.

The documentary Inshallah is a series of interwoven profiles of Gazans living under siege and has been created to open a window of communications between the people “inside” Gaza and the Western world.

Each Irish screening will feature a live Internet link between the local audiences and participants in the documentary directly from the studios of Almuntada Television in Gaza. The project is a close collaboration with the Gaza media community and during these live exchanges no question will be off limits.
In the Gaza studio for the Galway link up will be Ayman Mghames, 24 year old poet & rapper with Palestinian Rapperz & university student of English & French, along with Semeeha Ulwan, University lecturer of English Literature & translator for the media project.

“The goal of the project is to show Gaza as a society that is diverse, intelligent, hard working and creative”, so states the director Maurice Jacobsen, “at the same time it is a community that is deeply troubled, living under a complete political, economic and military siege. I think,” he adds, “Gaza is completely misunderstood and that this is a situation a documentary like Inshallah and the live Q&A can hopefully help alleviate.”

The preview screening tour will continue on from Ireland to Scandinavia, the U.S. and Canada, before the team returns to Gaza to continue documenting the on-going story of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.
