People have been celebrating Tesla's investigation into the cybertruck explosion, which tracked the perpetrator, via Tesla's charging stations, from Colorado to Las Vegas. But shouldn't we be worried by such surveillance?

A bombshell new paper in top science journal Nature has revealed that, far from hurricanes getting worse, as the alarmists claim, they have dropped in frequency and power globally over the past 30 years.

The Guardian has been indulging in climate zigzaggeration of late, says Prof James Alexander. Such a zigzagging whirlwind of alarmist exaggeration deserves to be shared more widely, if only to ward off the unwary.

Last summer's riots weren't mainly about immigration, says Chris Williamson. They were the fruit of policies such as Net Zero that have impoverished the UK and created an alienated underclass that is screaming to be heard.

New Year's Eve Solidarity Vigil With Gaza

category dublin | rights, freedoms and repression | news report author Friday December 31, 2010 16:37author by Media Team - IPSCauthor email info at ipsc dot ie Report this post to the editors

On New Year's Eve the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign held their annual event in remembrance of the victim's of Israel's 2008/09 massacre of over 1,400 people in Gaza. People gathered for an hour on the Ha'penny Bridge in Dublin and decked the area with colourful flags and banners, and handed out leaflets to curious passersby.

IPSC Chairperson Freda Hughes said: "This is an annual event in which our supporters congregate at a well-known Irish landmark in order to show solidarity internationally with the people of Gaza."

Ms Hughes continued: "Two years on from the barbaric assault that left 1,400 people dead and destroyed the infrastructure of the region, the people of Gaza continue to suffer under a crippling blockade. According to a recent report by a coalition of aid agencies including Amnesty and Oxfam, there has been "little improvement" for people in Gaza since Israel announced it was allegedly easing its illegal blockade six months ago. Meanwhile, Gazans continue to be the victims of Israeli air-strikes and military aggression."

Ms Hughes concluded: "We would like to thank everyone who came out on this, the last day of the year, to show their solidarity through such a enjoyable and colourful event - and we look forward to building the movement in the New Year."

A candlelit vigil organised by Friends of Palestine took place at Belfast City Hall on Monday 27 December as well. Fair play to the IPSC in Dublin, keep up the good work.

IPSC: I note from Electronic Intifada's: Activism roundup, world to commemorate Gaza massacre anniversary that solidarity activists with Act for Palestine Ireland mounted a protest outside the Israeli embassy in Dublin on 27th December. As such, I ask where is the merit in holding a "protest" with a pitiable few attending some days later.? As the judgement of Act for Palestine Ireland is self evidently sound on this one and yours is not up to par, let's say, to augment visibility and strenght through numbers, how about joining forces with Act for Palestine for specific actions.?

In a countercurrents.org article by Ilan Pappe headed: The Drums of War Are Heard Again In Israel, he's warning that: The scenario for the next round is unfolding in front of our eyes and it resembles depressingly the same deterioration that preceded the massacre of Gaza two years ago: daily bombardment on the Strip and a policy that tries to provoke Hamas so that more expanded assaults would be justified. As one general explained, there is now a need to take into account the damaging effect of the Goldstone report: namely the next major attack should look more plausible than the 2009 one (but this concern may not be that crucial to this particular government; nor would it serve as an obstacle).

Pappe continues: As always in this part of the world, other scenarios are possible – less bloody and maybe more hopeful. But it is hard to see who can generate a different short term future: the perfidious Obama administration? The helpless Arab regimes? timid Europe or the handicapped UN? The steadfastness of the people of Gaza and that of the Palestinian people in general means that the grand Israeli strategy to wither them away - as the founder of the Zionist movement, Theodore Herzl, hoped to do to the indigenous people of Palestine already in the very end of the nineteenth century - will not work. But the price may yet rise and it is time for all those who voiced a powerful and effective voice AFTER the Gaza massacre two years ago, to do it NOW, and try and avert the next one.

Act for Palestine will be acting NOW to rise the price and leash mad dog Israel and to avert the next genocidal attack.
