Candlelit Vigil

There will be a candlelit vigil at the GPO tomorrow, March 1st to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the start of the 1981 Hunger Strike at 6pm.

There will be a candlelit vigil at the GPO tomorrow, March 1st to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the start of the 1981 Hunger Strike. Former Hunger Striker Laurence McKeown will speak, and newly elected Sinn Féin TDs Mary Lou McDonald TD, Aengus Ó Snodaigh TD, Dessie Ellis TD and Seán Crowe TD, will be in attendance.

There will be a public meeting at 8.15pm after the vigil in the Ballyfermot Civic Centre where Laurence McKeown will speak, which will be chaired by Aengus O Snodaigh TD.
