Benazir Bhutto, BBC censorship and the Osama Bin Laden "assassination"

In 2007 Sir David Frost interviewed Benazir Bhutto prior to her death. In this interview she stated clearly that Omar Sheikh was the man that had killed Osama Bin Laden. In light of recent events further discussion of this matter is in order I was actually watching this interview live. |

Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7just heard on the news that photos of OBL will not be released after all. Surprise surprise. So quite aside from the fact that the US does not have the right to assassinate people in other countries at will, where is the actual proof this guy is dead? So far it is just a US presidents word which is a pretty poor standard historically. The word of a man whose job it is to lie for a living.
Here's my theory: "War on terror" story principal actor OBL had enough of his "role in a hole" and wanted to be written out of the highly profitable story so he could enjoy his remaining years spending his cut. A fake death was arranged timed to boost Obamas flagging ratings so he can continue to serve his paymasters in goldman sachs for another term, greasing up the military industrial complex and building up the nice police state for the rich at home
Bet OBL is sipping a cocktail on a beach somewhere with his CIA payoff stuffed in his kaks, snorting the finest cocaine and being blown by virgins. Who needs the afterlife if you are associated with money and power!!
well...either that or he died at the hands of Omar Sheikh several years ago of course! ;-)
I reckon he jumped from the copter and swam to safety.
TARIQ ALI: Amy, what is quite astonishing is that it took them such a long time. The news is that he was in a safe house which is literally next door to the Kakul military academy, one of the most heavily protected areas in the country. And the notion that this was a secret from Pakistan’s military intelligence is risible. It’s just not believable. I think the fact that he was there, the fact that they knew he was there—so the question that is intriguing me is how this information was got. I don’t take at face value—you know, I take at face value what they’re saying, that it was a courier they had been tracking. I don’t believe that. I think that the information came from within Pakistan’s military intelligence. And what was the pressure put to get it from them? I think the Pakistanis were informed that this was going to happen. The Pakistan’s leadership was already, with [inaudible], celebrating the event—the Prime Minister Zardari, Karzai in Kabul. So, I think they had been planning it. The timing is a mystery, why they did it exactly at this moment, given that they’ve known that he was there. So, that’s my first reaction.
The second reaction is, of course, as Jeremy has also said, that it’s far better when these things are done legally, because to show that state terrorism is more powerful than individual terrorism is bizarre. I mean, everyone knows that the United States is more powerful than virtually the rest of the world put together, so we don’t need a demonstration of that. What we needed, which Obama didn’t talk about, was: why wasn’t he captured alive—they could have done that if they knew where he was; the Pakistanis could have been told to do that—and tried in a court of law? That would have been genuinely educative and revelatory. To try him, to prove him guilty, and then to imprison him, or whatever.

Seems obvious. They knew since at least August by their own statement(White House). Campaign season is now open. Perfect fit.
I'd agree about ISI centrality. The question goes back to why was Pakistan, Osama's proxy handler for the anti-soviet drive, not given the ultimatum to hand him up in 2001. I reckon it was the neo-con intent to close off Iran's eastern flank and secure the pincer when they followed with the long-plotted Iraq regime change. Iran bottled in. More 'unfinished business'.
Why no trial?
Like Saddam, he knew too much for public display. Not a can of worms Washington want opened. Might tarnish the burnish. especially for the Bush dynasty.
if they said it it must be true because they wouldn't lie, now would they?
it's all just theater - he has no 'followers' worthy of the name, never had. He and his merry little band are all creations of a CIA/MI5 PR campaign - they needed an excuse to attack the 'stans' and other countries, so they invented Al Q - They'll just invent a new boogeyman now, (Quaddaffi fer instance) to keep the gullible entranced and in fear, and the show will go on as before, and it'll be as if little Tim Osman never existed - which he never really did anyway since most of it was just media theater
Al Quaida only exists in the sense that it has become a brand name or catch phrase to label presumed perpetrators of events, participants in happenings, which by the wildest stretches of the imagination or outright lies might/must be attributed to: Muslims, “Arabs”, anybody from the Middle East, anybody arrested by almost any authority (Russia, Indonesia, Europe, Saudi, Quaddaffi, etc. etc. ad infinitum) on any kind of ‘terrorism’ charges, as well as anyone connected to any of these, be it very indirectly. The Security Services (SS) of the Western World (mainly but not exclusively CIA/MI5) created, or helped finance
Osama
Mujahideen
Al-Qaida/Taliban
TWAT (The War Against Terror)
Targeted assassination (as foreign policy) against anyone or any group on the planet

One time Foreign Secretary of Great Britain, The Right Honuourable Mr Robin Cook, wrote this in an article for the Guardian exactly one month before he died:
The fact the Cook appeared to believe that Bin Laden did not provide the name for his own organistaion, and that the name apparently was provided by the Western SS that ran the organisation, indicates that Bin Laden was merely a figurehead without much power – others set-up and ran the organisation. In much the same way that Bush&Obama appear to be a mere front-man for other more capable and more dangerous individuals, so too is/was Bin Laden.
If Cook is to believed, and I see no reason not to believe him, the Big Bad Wolf (Osama) didn’t even provide the name for the Organisation he apparently was mastermind of. That name was provided by the security services.
If the people running the Organisation were picked and trained by the Security Services (ISI, MI5 and CIA and others) then in effect the organisation was being run by agents of the security services, and if the funding and weaponry were provided by the Security Services, then to maintain that the Security Services were not running the organisation is, at best, naive.
In other words, the US did some “outsourcing” and secretly “hired” some mercenaries to fight a proxy war”for the US (my own choice of terms). It seems that Pakistan’s CIA, the ISI, was also involved and that some amount of the financing/support came from the Saudis, the UK, and China. Pakistan also received massive amounts of US military aid. The number of Muslim men who became US mercenaries according to Robin Cook was “thousands.”

Osama works/worked FOR the US, not against it - he has always worked for them, the 'blowback' meme was just nonsense - every statement he ever made helped push bush up in the polls, helped the Bush Regime distract from bad news at home -
economy tanking? RAISE THE TERROR Alert Level! -
every statement he ever made helped re-enforce the moronic TWAT (The War Against Terror) narrative

There is no such thing as "al Qaeda", there is no one on earth who calls himself a member of "al Qaeda". "al Qaeda" is a term made up by the U.S. government to be applied to anyone killed during in the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no formal organization. There is no secret terrorist network. What there is a is a phantom enemy, a boogyman that was easily sold to the American people for the benefit of the Bush Administration and their friends at PNAC.
