On Sunday afternoon human rights activists in Limerick flash-mobbed two stores guilty of profiteering from trade with the illegitimate, delinquent Israeli state. Very little by the look of it... The services in Kerry General are pathetic. The staffing levels are completely inadequate and its embarrassing to see the lack of dignity on show sometimes. Virtually all departments are completely under staffed and cant deliver the basics. It appears that budgets are more important than patients in this establishment. So much so that, staffing levels are more weighted towards the drugs invoices than the drugs themselves. read full story / add a comment

When corruption is uncovered in functional jurisdictions a long established and well tested series of events come into play. Police investigate and if sufficient evidence is collected suspects are brought before the courts to account for themselves. If found guilty, they are given appropriate punishment. In dysfunctional jurisdictions such procedures are often ignored in the interests of protecting the powerful. read full story / add a comment

The Atlantic Homecare outlet on Childers Road, Limerick that earlier this year removed all Israeli produce from its shelves (in response to a protest by the IPSC) now appears to be redoubling its effort to sell as much Israeli made Keter produce as possible to unsuspecting customers. In what appears to be a clear attempt to at least distract, if not completely mislead customers, they have a large poster on a Keter shed with the slogan "Irish Owned - make it Irish make it Atlantic ..." read full story / add a comment

No-one has put a street value yet on the 110 kids seized by lifeguards and customs guards today off the Dun Laoighaire coast. Nor has the Taoiseach made a facine statement to the Dail on the increase in irresponsible use of leisure craft in our waters. But analysts like me are quick to point out the links on safety issues as the suicide prevention exercise organised by the Royal St George Yachtclub under the smokescreen title "junior regatta" occured on the same day 11 teachers ran rather than walked down the stairs of the National musem of Natural History causing it to collapse. Ambulances were obviously stretched to the limit and headshots today went untreated. read full story / add a comment
