There was an excellent performance on tonight's Late Late Show by Dublin global justice activists countering the government and media spin on the forthcoming May Day events in Dublin. The Dublin Grassroots Network seeks immediate clarification on police
and army powers on and in the run-up to May 1st: Huge disruption is to
be caused to Dublin by the EU ministers' Dublin Castle photocall, which entails
the closing of Dame Street, and the Farmleigh banquet, for which
Europe's largest public park is to be sealed off by a rumoured seven
miles of razor-wire, water-cannons, soldiers and armed gardai. read full story / add a comment

Over the last week the Gardai have repeatedly turned up on occasions where the Dublin Grassroots Network has been attempting ton inform the public about the Mayday protests. On each occasion they have demanded the names of the people there in what can only be a crude attempt to intimidate the protest organiser and reduce their ability to inform the public about the protesrs. What are they afraid of you finding out? read full story / add a comment
