offsite link It?s Time to Kick the Extremists Out of the Classroom Thu Apr 24, 2025 13:00 | Brian Monteith
PETA's schools programme tells children that animals are "just like us" and it's wrong to have pets and zoos. An organisation that has likened farming to the Holocaust has no place in the classroom, says Brian Monteith.

Rachel Reeves's disastrous mishandling of the thriving economy she inherited from the Tories means the UK is heading for a full-blown financial crash ? and nothing can stop it now, says Matthew Lynn.

Economic cluelessness goes hand-in-hand with rampant hypocrisy in the grisly green echo chamber, says Chris Morrison. The jobs destroyed in the private sector have no hope of being balanced in the new fantasy green world.

HARMONY for The Gathering-RSVP

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are about to embark on a creative and spontaneous experiment, bringing our thoughts and views together and expressing them through the creation of a song”.

The Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St, Cork City. Friday 12th July. 7.30-10.30pm. FREE ENTRY!

Voice Facilitator Caz Jeffreys will be leading us through the evening, as we take the time to ponder the question of, ‘What it means to be Irish today’. We will capture these offerings and weave them together into a song - perhaps incorporating harmonies and spoken word, body rhythms and movement. Joining Caz and RSVP are a number of local singer songwriters, and Rik Appleby of Lionheart productions will record the final result.

This song recording will become part of The Gathering-RSVP, a festival style promenade theatre presentation, integrating film, music, dance, poetry and visual arts with community arts participation. The Gathering-RSVP is an experimental collaboration of artists, located internationally, answering the question of what it means to be Irish today. The premiere of the finished project The Gathering-RSVP is set for this August Bank Holiday in conjunction with Kinsale Regatta. Saturday 3rd August 6pm-8pm and Sunday 4th August 6pm-8pm. Tickets €15.

You don’t need to be Irish to have a contribution to offer…..You don’t need to be a singer to share your voice….Or a writer to be involved in the writing of a song. However you do need to be ready for some fun and laughter…or perhaps a few tears…and be open to whatever the creative impulse unfolds! All welcome…free entry

You can find out more about the work of Caz Jeffreys at http://www.naturalvoice.net/caz_jeffreys
