Seymour Hersh the veteran US investigate journalist who in the past broke many major stories from the Watergate, CIA Assassinations, My Lai Massacre, Israeli nuclear weapons, Abu Ghraib, Syrian False Flag Chemical Weapon, Killing Bin Laden. And now he strikes again with an article on how the Americans carried out the destruction of the Russian-German Nordstream I and II pipelines.

Nordstream I was supplying the German economy with huge quantities of gas and Nordstream II which had been completed but not yet put into action was permanently put of action by the sabotage. This forced Germany to buy far more expensive liquidified natural gas, making their industry far less competitive and cutting off any reapproachment with Russia. The US government had repeatedly tried to block the construction of NordStream II and had stated one way or another it would not go ahead. Yet when the pipeline was blown up, Germany did nothing and took in lying down. An once proud nation reduced to an obedient subservient vassal state

In Hersh's article which he published on his substack because mainstream media has long ceased to carry any truth and this was the most effective way to get the story out, documents step by step on how they planned, implemented and carried out the attack. The Left have always rightly and correctly criticized government narratives, their actions and policies and never more so in the case of foreign adventures and wars. However in the past 15 years the woke brigade has largely taken over and ultimately have ended up serving the interests of the neo liberal corporate elite. In the case of the Covid scamdemic the Left capitulated completely and became cheer leaders for tyrannical restrictions and lockdowns. Despite many on the Left recognizing Big Pharma is totally corrupt, they pushed the so called vaccines for which there is now overwhelming evidence to show they are downright dangerous and are both seriously injuring huge numbers of people and killing many too.

It is against this background of capitulation that there are still bright spots and a few relatively sane and honest people remaining and that one of the well known figures in Socialism, David North from the WSWS website has come out strongly against the MSM narrative. bursting their bubble and given an honest background and context to the Russian - Ukrainian conflict. The Russian Ukraine war is now is over a week long and for many who are trying to understand what it is all about that is proving difficult. The sheer scale of the relentless propaganda is astounding and the hate that is being encouraged and fueled for all things Russian is frightening. Once again as with the Covid scamdemic the way in which people have lapped up the fear porn and refused to carry out any level of critical thinking is scary.

One thing that is obvious to those who stop and think for a moment is the complete absence of any kind of context and background to the whole thing. We are just being relentlessly push to believe that Putin in Hitler 2.0 and it all hinges on him and that he is evil. There is also outright hate and racism being whipped up and there are many reports of Russian students being booted off their course and various Russians being cancelled. There is a lot of intense media hysteria at the moment over an "imminent" Russia invasion of the Ukraine. It is of course pure hype and a distraction and part of the relentless campaign against all things Russian for who knows what reason. And Ireland like the obedient puppy of the Anglo-Saxon world has issued a call for all Irish to leave Ukraine immediately. I originally wrote this piece in September 2021 following the announcement by United States President Joe Biden that US forces would withdraw from Afghanistan, but never sought to publish the piece. The Irish Government is playing both sides on the matter of foreign affairs, calling for peace and claiming to be 'neutral' while actively supporting Western military imperialism. In this article by Pepe Escobar who is reporting on the situation in Afghanistan where province after province has rapidly fallen to the Taliban, he compares the current situation to the chaotic evacuation from Saigon in Vietnam after the USA had killed at least 2 million there in a brutal war that lasted more than a decade. In the case of Afghanistan the USA and NATO have achieved zero and spent over 2 trillion dollars but in the process have further destroyed the country and killed untold hundreds of thousands of Afghans.

Now as told by Escobar the Taliban are avenging America's invasion way back in 2001 and as Kandahar the second city of Afghanistan has already fallen, the only obstacle that remains is Kabul itself and as one commentator suspects they may be hoping to take that on Sept 11th which would be a fitting slap in the face to the Empire.
