These draconian laws were brought in to control an alleged pandemic created by a new virus called SARS-CoV-2 that creates the respiratory illness of Covid 19. The numbers of so-called ‘cases’ and deaths ‘attributed to Covid’ are churned out daily by the media fanning the fear. It is quite amazing just as Europe is beginning to ease lookdowns due to rising public impatience that a new scare comes along at just the right time for the governments trying to impose these pointless lockdowns for which there are over 37 peer reviewed scientific papers proving they do not work.

For the past few weeks, the 24x7 constant fear and propaganda has switched its focus to India to give us the impression that half country is dying. So Lets break down the figures and put things in context.

While most people in Ireland – fortunately – have no personal experience of COVID 19, virtually every family in the country is affected by the shut-down of schools. Children are missing out on their education and social life, while parents struggle to combine home schooling with working from the bedroom. If they have to go to work – like nurses, gardai, and shop assistants – they can’t call on grandparents to help with baby sitting. In tonight’s programme, we discuss the stark reality of the schools shut-down with a teacher and student from a northside Dublin school and with Chris Brett, a health benefit analyst who’s campaigning for the re-opening of schools in England. read full story / add a comment
Bury’s Bridge to Carrigtwohill Cycle Route
national / public consultation / irish social forum / press release Thursday February 11, 2021 17:19 by cyclist   image 1 image
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan has allocated €240m to walking and cycling projects, including to low-quality projects which are already designed, and new projects to be designed using old design standards.

This is in stark contrast to the UK where cycling route design guidance was updated before the extra funding was announced and before it was allocated. Funding was linked to higher-standards.

While the cycling infrastructure in the UK is far from perfect, the quality of projects in London and elsewhere has started to far surpass the quality of street changes built in Ireland. The higher standard infrastructure in the UK includes Dutch-style designs which the National Transport Authority has resisted implementing. read full story / add a comment
