Esso lost its court case against Greenpeace in France yesterday in a victory for freedom of expression on the web and for our campaign against the world's #1 environmental criminal. As part of our "Don't buy Esso, Don't buy Exxon/Mobil" campaign, we developed a parody of Esso's logo with a double dollar sign: E$$O. (Esso is the name under which Exxon/Mobil trades in many parts of the world outside North America) |

Rather than the hassle of cycling or even motorcycling to work people would rather sit in their warm car and sit in stress making traffic than get on the bus. We are just the product of a careless society!!
Well Done on an inspiring victory. We should styay on our bikes as much as possible. Still amazes me to see so many individually occupied cars entering the city centre district of Dublin every day. Surely people have neighbours that are headed in the same direction.......Does the lack of will to use public transport or share car space lie inherently in the breakdown of community in Irish neighbourhoods?
Any news on Shell's attempts to drill up around the Mayo area. They already had one defeat maybe over a year ago. Are they preparing for another assault?
