Jump To Comment: 1it might be useful to focus on the actual dumpers themselves as well as the government in this case. Normal Joe public must accept a lot of the responsibility for the disgraceful state of the countryside, dumping black bags, fridges, mattresses etc. in adddition to refusing to cooperate with county council refuse collection and non payment of fees.
How exactly do you propose we "embrace the New Zealand model of sustainable waste management" if noone is willing to pay for it.
Fianna Fail didnt dump those black plastic bags in the picnic area, and they sure as hell didnt pay some dodgy guy in a van to take away all their garden hedge clippings. People need to take responsibility too!.
