Abortion Rights Campaign In Britain

category national | gender and sexuality | opinion/analysis author Sunday April 13, 2008 11:39author by Add Your Voice Report this post to the editors

Let them now- what you think of disempowering your choice.

This is a brief link to the Irish Safe and Legal campaign, who have linked to the
Pro-choice Majority Campaign in Britain in relation to the attempt through
legislation to reduce the Upper Abortion Limit, as part of the HFEB Bill .

On May the Seventh 2008, the Houses in the UK will vote on a divisive Bill
which has actively left women's rights and NGO groups out of the equation
in relation to Choice and Healthcare issues.

The HFEB is called the Human Fertilisation and Embrology Bill. (HEFB 2008)

Add your Voice to the Campaign and speak out on Abortion rights.

Many Irish women use the services and the upper limit is important in the choice issue
specifically with regard to diagnosis of foetal anomaly. Add your Voice and ask TD's
why they do not address the issues of safety, full knowledge and privacy issues for
Irish women in Healthcare and Choice.

It is worth noting that there is a possibility that Lib Dem MPs will put an amendment to the Human Embryology Bill to finally extend the 1967 Abortion Act to the North. The hypocrisy of our politicians may scupper any chances, of course. The word is that the DUP and Sinn Fein have made an agreement to oppose any extension and that Blair promised them that New Labour would not implement Labour Party policy to make abortion available on the NHS for women in the North.

While we can expect nothing different from the religious fundamentalists of the DUP, it's a disgrace that Sinn Fein - a party that says it believes in self-determinatin and is on the side of the poor - will not back the provision of abortion on the health service.

It will give the SDLP alot fire. Who would want to be a union that allows abortion and the creation of men/half animal creations?(Thats in the bill,no joke)

"Abortion is the key to catch the concience of the unioinsts".

and to create unethical chimeras through the purchase of egg material for 250£,
interestingly the main groups involved in pushing for this are proto-evangelical RC.

such as Tony Blair who invited the chimera companies into the UK.

he shalt have a lot of penances to do in his religious conversion.

there is no union on the issue- abortion rights and women's human rights are being
consistently eroded for profit by corporate interests who run parliament. I expect the
tatters of the PD's/FF and Green will promulgate similar legislation within the 12 month.
