Radical books and organising for revolution finds a new home in Cork ... A new, alternative meeting space and bookshop has just opened on Douglas Street, Cork. This is early days but we want to get the word out that his new initiative needs you and your support! We have great things planned as this is a big space with a number of rooms. Here’s the idea so far: |

Is the CAZ / Barracka books finished up? Or are this and the CAZ both operating?
great news, the more radical spaces da better, well done lads n lasses.
Good Birthday present to yourselves. Good for Cork.
CAZ closed down September 2008. There has been some efforts to reopen it as a social space but nothing concrete (as far as I know as of yet)
Well done a great project. Look forward to spending some money on your fine books.
Well done, looking forward to visiting.
Comhghairdeachas a chairde,
Tá magairlí agaibh!
Tá sé ag teacht le chéile, buíochas mór.
Do you have any of the books of Marx Engles, Lenin or Mao Tse Tung? The Quay Co-Op used to have a great selection a few years ago.
I visited Solidarity Books last week. They have an excellent selection of left-wing publications and books (lotsa Chomksy,
Zinn and Richard Seymour ) -they even have a few of the old Cork Workers' Club booklets from the 70s. They
also have a general selection of second-hand books as well. Nice place-visit there if you get a chance.
I've been to a meeting here for the legalise cannabis cork group and just tonight also watched a screening of Michael Moore's new movie Captalism: A love story
Nice shop
We shall offer prayers to our patron, Padre Pio, for your success!
